MarBill Hill Farm is situated just above the Holland Marsh on a hundred acres of rolling Ontario farmland. We are also a working organic farm with a small herd of grass-fed organic cattle living in one of our front paddocks.
We are a facility for show horses that are retired, on rehab or pregnant show mares and their foals. We have no trail system, sand ring or arena.
Our property also includes 15 1-3 acre paddocks, a dry paddock for Cushing’s horses and horses not wanting pasture, a 4 acre hilled paddock for rehab and muscle building and several small ‘adjustable’ paddocks for rehab and new horse introductions. Many paddocks have 10′ x 20′ run in sheds and all our fencing is 3 board oak rail.
We have 3 barns. Our 7 stall Century Barn built in the 1880’s and renovated in 2016. “The Big Barn’ generally houses most of our retirees and the young horses ready to go off to be grown up horses.
Our Weanling Barn has 6 stalls including 2, 14×14 stalls with full opening windows for horses needing stall rest and is usually where the weanlings are housed.
Our newest barn, built in 2017, is our Broodmare Barn. Purpose built for mares with foals, the east side is designed with 4, 12×20 brood boxes. The west side is a versatile space used as run-in shed, storage or space for over flow temporary stalls.
All our barns are video and WIFI enabled for security.
